Restoration & Extensions
Glenrate Project Management were approached and asked to provide a selection of designs to demonstrate how the existing property could be restored and the layout carefully altered to meet the requirements of a young family.
Our proposals improved the circulation and connection between the internal spaces of the property and maximised the use of the available floor area. We also proposed to improve the links to the external environment, with particular emphasis on the relationship between the kitchen and dining spaces and the garden and by improving the penetration of natural light within the house.
A simple glazed extension to the kitchen and dining area was proposed and this provided a simple, elegant junction with the rear façade of the existing Georgain house. These new rooms became the heart of the home and garden.
The construction work was project managed and regular updates on design, progress and final cost performance against budget were provided throughout the project
